What are the Producer’s responsibilities?
The Web Producer is responsible for a number of sites. As the sites you will be managing are directly related to a variety of television shows, you will work closely with a number of external contacts on the TV side, as well other content providers, on editorial issues and be the key point of contact between them and the business.
Key responsibilities include content production, project management of new site builds, site enhancements, upgrades or revamps, project scoping, creating further opportunity within the wider business for cross selling of the sites, and leading the push for unique content for the sites. You will also be working with online video and advertising sales teams on implementation of campaigns.
In addition, the Web Producer will co-ordinate online promotional activity relating to the sites, and work closely with the Executive Producer to ensure that the sites remain highly engaging and at the forefront of online industry.
Who are you?
Candidates are required to have at least 3 years experience in publishing/media, and must have online experience for this role. Broadcast and magazine experience will be highly regarded.
Also essential for this role is editorial knowledge and an exceptional ability to liaise across internal and external stakeholders, bringing together relevant parties to successfully achieve your objectives.
The Web Producer should have knowledge and experience with content management systems and (ideally) exposure to online video production and other new and emerging technologies.
