We are proud to be working with a global leader in the online industry. This is a unique opportunity to join the New Business Team as a Product Manager.
The New Business Team is tasked with growing new revenue streams and verticals for the Australian business. Working with a virtual team including an Analyst, Product Manager, technical/creative teams, marketing and other external parties, your role focuses on one core area of the business.
Responsibilities include strategy for assigned verticals. This involves collaborating with an analyst on financial modeling and revenue reporting, identifying market opportunities, producing reports and presenting to management.
The New Business Product Manager will lead a multi-disciplined project team based in Sydney and the U.S and also be responsible for negotiating commercial terms with 3rd parties and other stakeholders. In addition, you will provide leadership to junior project team members – this role offers potential for the right candidate to move into a management role within 6 – 12 months. The Product Manager also has full P&L responsibility.
Who is this person?
The Product Manager should be a tenacious, outgoing individual with proven results in project delivery and financial analysis. You may come from a management consulting, finance, strategy or business unit management role.
Experience in negotiations is advantageous. The New Business Team are often required to make calculated business decisions, therefore this person should have a lot of initiative and be confident taking risks. You will be a problem solver with strong problem solving capabilities, as well as high level commercial awareness and business acumen.
