In what is an extremely high profile role, the Director of Sales will be responsible for leading a team of high caliber sales professionals across the region in the events team as well as developing new business and growing existing accounts from some of the most successful organizations in the IT space.
The Director of Sales will also be responsible for managing every aspect of the events business, from developing the annual events sales plans, developing strategic business plans to create new events & sponsorships to analyzing current organizational business & sales practice and implementing changes with the aim of aggressively increasing the events business’ bottom line.
The Director of Sales in this high profile IT GIANT will be working closely with the international sales directors in this global organization to identify and capitalize on international cross selling opportunities. The Director of Sales will also need to develop relationships both internally and externally with the media and high C-level executives as they look to grow the business across the region.
In an organization renowned for hiring the best of the best, the Director of Sales will need to meet the minimum following criteria:
- A minimum of 7 years trade show/ exhibition/ conference/ event sales experience.
- A minimum of 3 years experience trade show/ exhibition/ conference/ event sales management experience.
- A proven track record in selling into C-Level executives within the IT industry.
- Excellent IT knowledge & understanding of the IT industry.
- A strong leader, mentor and motivator of staff.
- Regional industry knowledge would be highly advantageous.
Salary starts at $120-130K + Super + Bonus + $100K Commissions Uncapped.
